Peru – Today’s SAGSE Talks event to focus on gaming in Peru

By - 19 May 2020

A new SAGSE (South American Gaming Suppliers Expo) Talks event will be held for Peru today, offering a virtual panel composed of regulators, operators and leading international companies with a prominent presence in the country.

This is the third edition of the popular gaming-focused conference, and participating in the free event will be JD Duarte, the CEO of Betcris. In addition to his involvement in the conference, Duarte will also be the presenter of the next stop in the series of talks, with a focus on Mexico, for which the CEO has a leading role.

SAGSE Talks were started by Monografie VP Alan Burak to raise awareness of, and help shape, the Latin American gaming market. They have become the leading online networking events for the region, and always bring together industry experts and leaders to discuss strategies and policies that impact the industry. The events cover every aspect of the gambling and entertainment industry, including casino games, poker, lotteries, virtual sports, casinos games, payments, digital marketing and more.

In addition to Duarte, the upcoming event, which will start at 3 PM, Peru time (1 PM, Las Vegas time, 9PM London time), will see participation by, among others, Director General Manuel San Román Benavente of Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas de la República de Perú, , Latin American Gambling Association President Fernando Calderón Castro, Apuesta Total CEO Gonzalo Pérez, Meridian Gaming Operations Manager Juan José Mantese and more. The panel will be moderated by Pablo Zuppi of Yogonet Gaming News.

SAGSE Talks Peru will have the global sponsorship of Play’N GO, the sponsorships of Latamwin and End2End, and the institutional support of Fecoljuegos from Colombia, APEJA, SONAJA, the Latin American Association of Games of Chance (ALAJA) and ALEA from Argentina.

It’s worth pointing out that the SAGSE cycle of online conferences is one of the most important at the international level. SAGSE Talks Argentina, carried out on April 21, had 5,286 global views and 508 constant viewers on YouTube, generating a total of 60,803 minutes of viewing. A week later, SAGSE Talks Colombia had 4,108 global views, 421 constant viewers on YouTube and 38,560 minutes of viewing.

The next SAGSE Talks, which Duarte is promoting, will take place on June 2, with four more conferences already on the schedule to be held after the event for Mexico. Also in June, there will be panels to cover Brazil and Chile, followed by an event on Paraguay gaming in July and a final marketing-focused event in August. Registration for the conference can be completed via Eventbrite.
