By - 5 April 2024

Sands China has confirmed that full-scale construction of a fourth hotel tower to be built next to the current triple-towers of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore will get underway by July 2025 and is expected to be completed within four years.

The fourth tower will include a sky roof, a 15,000-seat entertainment arena and MICE space, along with food and beverage and nightlife offerings.

Patrick Dumont, President and Chief Operating Officer of Las Vegas Sands, said: “With the ongoing support of the Singapore government, this development will further enhance the leisure and business tourism appeal of Singapore. It optimizes the site’s programming elements and is designed to drive high-value tourism growth to Singapore.”

“The all-suite hotel tower will set new standards of hospitality, the state-of-the-art arena will help attract the highest-calibre global entertainment events and artists, and the additional convention and exhibition space will extend the success of Singapore as a leading MICE destination. This significant investment in Singapore will help ensure Marina Bay Sands is ideally positioned to grow its economic, employment and visitorship contributions in the years ahead.”

MBS said the new state-of-the-art arena will help the property become the leading live entertainment venue in Asia and drive new tourism to Singapore with top entertainers from Asia and around the world.

Since opening at a cost of $5.6bn, Marina Bay Sands has seen more than 470 million people visit the now iconic casino resort.
