Spain – El Niño lottery to surpass €560m

By - 20 December 2013

The European Lottery Guild (ELG), world’s most trusted lottery agent, has announced that sales for the El Niño Spanish Lottery draw, held on January 6, have commenced and €560m is to be won.

El Niño, a huge annual lottery event in Spain since 1763, is second only in size to the Christmas El Gordo Lottery but with a total prize pool of €560m, it attracts massive interest from players around the world.

A spokesperson for ELG said: “El Niño is always a huge event for us – one of the largest on the European lotteries calendar. Lottery players simply do not want to miss out on getting into a syndicate and draw of this size.”

Players from across the globe participate in El Niño annually, and ELG makes it simple for them to play, with entry available online and via telephone. ELG handles plenty of traffic this time of year as their spokesperson explains, they are well prepared for it: “We see volume increase at the end of December and start of January. With many new features added to the website recently, we are seeing more and more of our players purchasing entries to draws online and on their mobile devices.”

There have been many happy winners and satisfied customers from previous El Niño draws and feedback comes from lottery players far and wide. Mr. C.S. from Australia who is a regular player with ELG said: “I feel confident that because of these wins, I will get a BIG win. I look forward to receiving more cheques from ELG.”

With the El Niño draw also paying thousands of smaller prizes, many players are delighted with their wins, including Mr. A.G. who commented: “Winning €200 was a pleasant surprise, and I am hopeful of even a larger dividend next time. The winnings will go towards paying a bill.”
