UK – Blackpool casino snapped up by State

By - 28 February 2014

State Casino, a Liverpool-based operator, has taken over the operation of Blackpool’s Paris Casino, in a move which has secured all 70 jobs and promises a £70,000 renovation.

General Manager Dov Haase has nearly 30 years’ experience, which includes setting up Leo Casino in Liverpool for £6.5m before selling it for £14.7m.

“The [Blackpool] casino was struggling before we took it over,” he explained. “We are going to refurbish the bar area and rearrange the gaming area with a planned investment of between £60,000 and £70,000. We are marketing the venue to also attract people from out of town, because the next nearest casinos after Blackpool are in Liverpool and Bolton.”
