Cardiff casino Les Croupiers has reported a pre-tax profit of £1.4m for the year ending 31 March 2017, compared to a loss of £440,000 in 2015/16.
The return to profit follows the venue’s relocation from the city center to Cardiff’s Capital Shopping Park, opposite Cardiff City Stadium.
The casino’s owners said that turnover had increased to £23.6m from £22.1m a year earlier.
The company said: “The directors believe that the positive results reflect the continued attention to customer service that casino staff provide to its members, together with an ability to react swiftly to changing needs.
“Recent years have seen an increased take up of technology based gaming by customers. The casino is engaged on a continuing upgrade and renewals path to ensure that existing members return, and new memberships are continually introduced. The directors are committed to the future of the casino and will continue to invest to ensure that the gaming experience had by members continues to be exceptional.”
