By - 2 July 2013

Isle of Capri has now opened its Nemacolin Woodland Resort, located approximately 70 miles south of Pittsburgh.

The $60m Category 3 resort casino includes 600 slots, 28 table games, and two restaurants including Otis & Henry’s and Lone Wolf. Its development created over 350 construction jobs, received approximately 2,500 job applications and hired over 500 employees.

Virginia McDowell, Isle’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “Isle of Capri is thrilled to open our flagship Lady Luck casino at one of the most magnificent resort complexes in the United States. We have been welcomed with open arms into Fayette County. The enthusiasm for this project has been remarkable and we are proud to share Lady Luck with the community and Nemacolin Woodlands guests as well.”

Maggie Hardy Magerko, President and Owner of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, added: “We are so proud to see all of the details come together to bring this new amenity to our guests. The transformation of a building that was once a bowling alley and arcade into this magnificent casino is extraordinary. I am quite sure that our guests will be as impressed as I have been.”

Located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Nemacolin Woodlands is one of North America’s premier resort destinations, earning a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star rating and a AAA Four-Diamond Rating.  It features the AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Lautrec Restaurant and offers 36 holes of golf on two championship courses.
