US – Goldman Sachs names Buffalo as top performing US game

By - 24 March 2014

Aristocrat’s runaway hit Buffalo has been named the top performing game for the third year in a row in Goldman Sachs’ 2014 Slot Manager Survey.

Aristocrat’s The Walking Dead also topped the survey, named as the most anticipated game release of the year by slot managers across 27 states.

In an outstanding result for Aristocrat, Buffalo Stampede and E-Series also featured in the top six most anticipated releases, and more than 20 per cent of slot managers said that Aristocrat games were the most profitable of any supplier – up sharply from 15 per cent in last year’s survey.

Further, “performance” was cited by slot managers as the top reason for buying more Aristocrat games, for the third year in a row.  In this year’s survey, a huge 63 percent of customers rated performance as the best reason to buy Aristocrat.

“This is exciting news, and just the beginning for Aristocrat. The games pipeline we are building is our best ever, with more major releases planned over the coming months that will only add to the breadth and quality of our new portfolio,” said Chief Product Officer, Rich Schneider. “We’ve been working hard on our product-led strategy and there’s no doubt we have been making excellent progress – nowhere more so than here in North America. Now to get this endorsement from our customers is particularly encouraging and only strengthens our resolve to keep lifting the bar and transforming the game.

“We continue to be focused on our core penny player, and are also successfully diversifying our offering to appeal to a wider variety of players. This is reflected in higher earning games and a more flexible product for our operators, which is increasingly the hallmark of Aristocrat’s game portfolio.

“To perform so strongly in this benchmark survey is great news for Aristocrat, and great news for our customers,” Mr. Schneider concluded.
