US – Harrah’s Resort launches Konami’s Titan 360 exclusively

By - 3 July 2013

Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City is the first casino in the US to install Konami Gaming’s 12 ft. high slot experience Titan 360; a machine that brings amusement and mechanical elements to the slot floor.

The install follows a collaboration between Konami and New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement that will see Konami streamline the exclusivity of Titan 360 to only New Jersey and to Harrah’s for a period of time.

New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement Head, Director David Rebuck said: “We are excited to be able to offer companies the opportunity to market their newest and most exciting games in Atlantic City before any other gaming jurisdiction.”

The game itself brings some unique elements to the casino. Players are rewarded for bold play and big bets on what is one of the tallest slot machines ever designed. The top of the slot rotates and changes colours whilst the Rise To Wealth bonus event sees a ball in the overhead structure of the game start moving back and forth. It will eventually land in a pocket that will signify the winnings.

John Smith, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Harrah’s Resort, said: “Harrah’s Resort has the most diverse and engaging slot floor in Atlantic City and this launch only proves that we will continue to be on the cutting edge of slot technology. Our loyal slot customers expect nothing but the best at Harrah’s Resort – we always strive to provide them with the most entertaining and innovative  slots available – the Titan 360 takes that to the next level.  Atlantic City gaming is setting the bar for premier slot experiences in the industry and Titan 360 is sure to raise this bar further than the eye can see.”

Matt Reback, Konami Senior Director of Marketing, said: “Titan 360 is something others can’t replicate. It’s based on solid math and proven performers with this high-entertainment-value center that’s got physics and mechanics in it. I think people come to the casino looking for new experiences and looking for layered entertainment.”

Konami Gaming’s Director of Games Product Management, Steve Walther, added: “We’ve scaled the rewards based on the bet level on the base game. So if you’re playing level one, you’ll win a lower amount as you play the Titan 360 Rise to Wealth game, but as you get to the higher bet levels, you’ve got the opportunity to win some serious cash awards because you’ve bet up the button panel. The game rewards you for betting up.”
