Lottoland has been granted a Remote Gambling License from the Republic of Ireland National Excise License Office allowing it to operate in the country.

Lottoland’s Irish website is now live at www.lottoland.ie, enabling players based within the Republic of Ireland to access the company’s sizeable portfolio of lottery betting, scratchcard and games products.

In the past 12 months Lottoland has already undergone successful launches in the UK and Australian markets.

Lottoland CEO Nigel Birrell said: “We are delighted to have secured our Irish license. The Republic of Ireland is a vibrant, growing market with huge potential and we’re very confident there’s a strong appetite for our innovative lottery betting offering. Ireland becomes the third new licensed territory we’ve launched in over the course of the last 12 months and I’m sure it will play its part in continuing the excellent momentum we have already generated.”

In just over two years, Lottoland’s B2C operation has grown to become the world’s largest and most dynamic online lottery betting offering, with more than 3m registered customers and nine-digit revenues in 2015.

Lottoland offers its players the opportunity to bet on the world’s biggest jackpots for the same prizes, including the jackpot. There is an extensive portfolio of draws available to bet on including EuroMillions, US MegaMillions, US PowerBall, Spain’s El Gordo, 5 draws from Australia, Irish Lotto and a host of other lotteries from across Europe and beyond.
