Pianeta Scommesse, a Microgame subsidiary, and Austrian bookmaker SKS365 Group, the owner of sports betting brand planetwin365, have announced the signing of a major contract for technology services to 1,000 betting shops in Italy, which were regulated earlier this year under the country’s recent Stability Law.
Pianeta Scommesse will supply the technology necessary to connect to the Italian regulator’s (ADM) central system and will provide a gaming platform which is specifically designed for all ADM-approved products and bet types. Pianeta Scommesse will also work with SKS365 Group to expand the regulator’s predetermined portfolio of bet types in line with the ADM’s so-called complementary schedule (palinsesto complementare).
“The partnership with a leading international operator like SKS365 Group is a source of great pride for our company” states Rosa Di Leva, managing director of Pianeta Scommesse, the Microgame subsidiary. “The agreement is a further step in our group’s strategy to develop our core service provider business and reinforces Pianeta Scommesse’s position as the leading independent service provider for land-based betting shops. We will continue to develop our technology and services to offer the most competitive gaming platform, and look forward to further growth in the regulated market with the 2016 tender to renew all of Italy’s betting licences.”
Thomas Smallwood, CEO of SKS365 Group, commented: “We believe in the people at Pianeta Scommesse as much as we believe in the quality of their products and their high service standards. We are convinced that our expertise in sports betting together with the professional and technical resources of the Microgame group ensures that we will continue to offer an unrivalled, versatile sportsbook and maximise customer value within the Italian regulations. With Pianeta Scommesse taking care of the technical aspects, we can focus on our sportsbook and the customers and together we will once again bring a fresh breeze of innovation and value to the market.”
