UK – Langham joins Regal Gaming division Merkur Engineering as strategic advisor

By - 2 October 2018

Paul Langham has been appointed strategic advisor to Regal Gaming’s Merkur engineering division – both of which are part of the global gaming giant, Gauselmann Group.

Mr. Langham, who has extensive industry experience, having built up and then sold his own gaming business, Town & County Leisure, to Gauselmann in 2016, will join the senior management team at Regal – his brief being to enhance existing customer relationships, support the development of the Merkur’s services and promote new business growth.

He said: “It really is an exciting time for the industry, and Regal / Merkur have the people, the technology and the opportunities for enormous growth in the UK. To say I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity by Gauselmann would be an understatement. I simply can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Regal Gaming set up Merkur Engineering to act as a specialised engineering service to the gaming industry. The aim of the business being to provide full equipment service provision to new and legacy gaming machines, install new equipment for arcade Ticket In Ticket Out (TITO) conversions, install machine connectivity, including data management platforms at various levels and manage equipment leasing and financing packages upon installation.

Already Merkur has a strong portfolio of supply contracts with various high street names, including Buzz Bingo and Ladbroke Coral. It also works with a growing number independent high street gaming and bingo operators.

Craig Morgan, Managing Director of Regal Gaming and Leisure, said: “Paul’s knowledge and specialist skills are unparalleled in the industry, and I have absolutely no doubt he will fast become a major asset to not just Regal and Merkur, but Gauselmann as a whole.”
