UK – OpenBet signs up Software Development Director from Amazon

Online gaming and sportsbook software provider, OpenBet has announced that Joe Eldridge will be joining the business as Chief Product Officer on November 18, leading the product management and product engineering teams, as well as providing technology leadership throughout the company.
In this newly created role, Mr. Eldridge will play an integral part in defining, strengthening and implementing OpenBet’s core product strategy to ensure greater agility across the business whilst maintaining the quality and reliability of OpenBet’s products. He will also be focused on driving continual product innovation, which will be customer-driven and at the forefront of market trends.
With over 20 years of technology experience in the finance and leisure industries, Mr. Eldridge joins OpenBet from the global eCommerce company Amazon.com, where he was the Software Development Director for the web channel of Amazon Instant Video. He led the development teams responsible for the creation and innovative evolution of desktop, mobile, and tablet web interfaces used by millions of customers globally on LOVEFiLM, Amazon, and IMDb sites.
Prior to Amazon, Mr. Eldridge spent five years as a co-founder of venture capital backed PermissionTV and 11 years at Omnicom’s digital marketing and technology professional services firm, Agency.com, where he started as a developer and grew within the company, ultimately becoming Worldwide COO. Across Joe’s career, he has rapidly delivered highly scalable, international solutions to global customers for British Airways, Intercontinental Hotels, T-Mobile, Deutsche Bank, Dow Jones, Fox, MGM, and Heineken, to name a few.
