Playbook Fusion secure its Swedish licence

Regulatory consultancy BetComply has helped boutique games studio Playbook Fusion secure its Swedish permit, as the developer prepares to enter a wave of regulated markets.

BetComply supported Playbook Fusion throughout its Swedish approval process, helping the supplier gain its approval in less than two weeks. As a unique real-money football management betting game, the product requires a deeper level of compliance expertise to navigate the regulatory requirements and secure the relevant approvals.

BetComply will support the regulatory approvals across a number of additional markets, as Playbook Fusion looks to significantly expand its regulated footprint.

Steve Rogers, founder and CEO of Playbook Fusion, said: “As we take Playbook Fusion into more regulated markets, every jurisdiction brings its own requirements and complexities. BetComply understands both the regulatory side and the nature of our product, which makes them an invaluable partner as we scale.”

Mike de Graaff, Chief Compliance Officer at BetComply, said: “Playbook Fusion is moving quickly, but it is doing so with compliance built into the process from the beginning. Sweden is another important step, and we are already supporting the team across a number of additional jurisdictions as Playbook Fusion continues its international expansion.”

Playbook Fusion first turned to BetComply last year, in a partnership which saw the studio implement its UKGC licence, receive its MGA recognition notice and secure ISMS certification with eCogra for its innovative Playbook Football product.
