Chile – Copag to launch joint venture with Big Bang Entertainment

Copag, the Brazilian card company owned by the Cartamundi group, is expanding its operations in Latin America through a joint venture agreement signed with Big Bang Entertainment from Chile.

With the agreement, Copag will increase its portfolio of brands and expand its distribution in Latin America. Together, the two companies will achieve greater geographic reach, allowing them to grow in new countries and channels.

Ana Carolina Gonçalves, CEO of Copag, said: “We are delighted with this new opportunity in the Chilean market. Big Bang shares the same values ​​and vision for the future, and is fully aligned with our strategic growth objectives. The Big Bang-Copag joint venture will generate significant benefits for both consumers and customers, as it will provide new brand offerings, complementary products and services for the Big Bang portfolio. This includes the integration of Cartamundi’s acquisition of the world’s largest playing card manufacturer, The United States Playing Card Company, with brands such as Bicycle and Fournier.

Paulina Abud Elías, General Manager of the new company Big Bang-Copag, said: “This association is a great opportunity to strengthen and consolidate the leadership position in children’s entertainment of collectibles and games in Chile and in the Latin American region.”

In the coming months, both companies will start preparations for their workflows to facilitate integration.
