China – August heading towards Macau’s second highest GGR ever
Analysts in Macau are predicting that gaming revenues in August will be the second highest monthly revenue in Macau’s history, pitching GGR between 30.5bn patacas (US$3.8bn) and 30.9bn patacas.
The record is currently held by March 2013 when Macau’s casinos earned 31.3bn patacas.
David Bain of Sterne Agee believes GGR will reach 30.9bn, representing an 18 per cent increase on 2012’s figures for the month.
Cameron McKnight of Wells Fargo pitched year-on-year growth for August at 17 per cent to 19 per cent.
