Colombia – Casinos to remain closed as lottery outlets reopen in Colombia

By - 28 April 2020

Colombian President Iván Duque has clarified that casinos, bingo halls and slot halls will not be part of the first phase of the country’s reopening process following COVID-19 closures.

The country reactivated many businesses on April 27, including lotteries as they provide resources to the health system.

President Duque confirmed: “Casinos do not open. Some lottery services are being opened because of the resources obtained from these activities and are important resources for health services,” he said.
