Czech – Czech betting spend up by 44 per cent

Last year, people in the Czech Republic bet a total of 759.3bn crowns (€31.7bn) up by 44.2 per cent, according to the Czech General Finance Directorate.
According to the authority, more money was spent on slot machines, which have long accounted for the largest share of spending. According to the General Directorate of Finance, however, there has also been growth in the gambling sector on the Internet. In 2019, around 26 per cent of all betting deposits and costs were still invested there. Last year, the proportion was just under 57 per cent.
