Gaming and entertainment systems are evolving into fully integrated human-machine interfaces (HMIs), where outstanding image quality alone is no longer the defining factor
From 29 September to 1 October 2026, DATA MODUL will demonstrate at Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas how these trends are shaping the next generation of gaming and entertainment systems.
Highlights include innovative display and monitor solutions with extended colour gamut, advanced curved formats, as well as integrated touch, embedded and system integration concepts for the next generation of slot machines, electronic table games, roulette, sports betting and other gaming applications.
One of the key highlights of the exhibition will feature display technologies with an extended colour gamut. QD-OLED solutions and LCDs featuring OLED-like colour achieve colour gamuts of up to 101% NTSC, delivering vibrant colours, exceptional contrast and outstanding visual performance – essential characteristics for eye-catching gaming graphics and premium user interfaces.
For premium gaming applications, DATA MODUL is expanding its portfolio with a 21.6-inch InkJet Printing (IJP) OLED featuring true blacks, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 99% NTSC colour gamut. The portfolio is further complemented by new J-, C- and S-shaped curved displays, large-format High-NTSC solutions, and curved PCAP displays in 23.8″, 27″ and 31.5″, providing OEMs with greater design flexibility for a wide variety of gaming systems.
“Today’s gaming systems are no longer defined by individual components, but by the seamless interaction of image quality, user interaction and design. That’s exactly the philosophy behind our presence at G2E this year,” said Doris Beetz, Head of Entertainment at DATA MODUL.
As player interaction becomes increasingly important alongside image quality, DATA MODUL will also showcase high-performance 4K PCAP monitors and display solutions that combine ultra-high-resolution visuals, precise touch functionality and industrial-grade reliability.
These include a 31.5-inch closed-frame monitor designed for demanding 24/7 casino environments, as well as a 36.5-inch 4K PCAP touch display featuring High-NTSC technology for interactive gaming applications. Both solutions are driven by the DATA MODUL eMotion UHD-III scaler board and support DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity.
Another key trend is the integration of multiple functions into a single display solution. With its 6.2-inch Player Tracker, DATA MODUL combines PCAP touch, RFID and NFC within one compact unit, enabling player tracking, loyalty management, contactless identification and touch interaction through a single user interface.
For OEMs, this means reduced hardware requirements, simplified system integration and greater design freedom when developing modern gaming and entertainment systems.
Complementing its innovative display, monitor and embedded technologies, DATA MODUL will also demonstrate how advanced integration and bonding technologies enhance both the appearance and performance of modern gaming systems.
A 27-inch PCAP display featuring an LED Slim Bezel and integrated lighting concept enables virtually borderless cabinet designs while giving OEMs greater creative freedom. In addition, a 15.6-inch demonstration unit provides a direct comparison between Optical Bonding and Air Bonding, allowing visitors to experience first-hand how these technologies improve colour performance, contrast, durability and the overall user experience.
With its latest G2E exhibits, DATA MODUL demonstrates how modern display technologies bring together image quality, interaction and design to create intelligent HMIs – opening up new possibilities for the next generation of gaming and entertainment systems.
