Set on the gaslit streets of Victorian London, Wolf of London takes players somewhere darker than usual

Fish & Chips Games, the UK-facing slot studio known for a pint of Britishness and a pinch of levity, today released Wolf of London, a Victorian Gothic werewolf slot with rather more teeth than usual.

The studio’s second title goes somewhere the debut did not: Bus Stop Bonanza found its comedy in a bus shelter in the rain, while this one begins at dusk on a fog-bound street. Only the brave dare follow the howl into the fog.

Set on the gaslit streets of Victorian London, Wolf of London takes players somewhere darker than usual. Fog, lantern light, and a beast waiting at the window.

The central idea is that the things worth having are not on the grid when the player arrives. Wolf of London opens on a 5×4 reel set with 1,024 paylines, and every Rising Moon that lands stretches it a row deeper, up to three at once, taking the grid to a full 5×7. The Collectible Crystals that drive the game’s main feature land only on those new rows. Nothing can be collected until the player has made somewhere for it to appear.

Land all three Moons and the expansion becomes 10 Free Spins, played out on the full 5×7 set.  Crystals come in four colours, and five of a colour completes a collection: 5 Free Spins led by a Super High Paying Werewolf in the matching colour, added to every reel set.

What sets it apart from most collection mechanics is that the progress carries. A collection does not reset at the end of a session, so a player returning on Thursday picks up where Tuesday left them. New players are not starting from nothing either. Every first-timer begins with 3 Red Crystals already banked, two short of a collection before they have placed a bet.

Wolf of London carries an RTP of 94 per cent, a 20.3 per cent hit frequency, medium-high volatility and a maximum win of 3,095x bet, with a default max win of €386,875 waiting in the fog.

The marketing team at Fish & Chips Games, said: “Our first game was a bus stop in the rain. This one is a fog-bound street and something on the other side of the door. Both are British, they are just different halves of it. The reels grow because we wanted players to go and find the thing, rather than be handed it on spin one.”

Phill Taylor, Head of Region – Europe at Yggdrasil, added: “With autumn and Halloween on the horizon, Fish & Chips unleash Wolf of London: a Victorian Gothic hunt for a vast audience. Its crystal collection mechanic saves player progression across sessions, a genuine retention driver that feels natural, while expanding reels build toward a full 5×7 Free Spins round, backed by enough volatility to reward players with great win potential.”

Wolf of London is available now to operators via Yggdrasil Champions.
