France – Barrière casino in Carry-le-Rouet appoints new director

By - 16 May 2022

The Carry-le-Rouet casino in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of France has changed directors. Hervé Le-Cam was inducted in the presence of Jean-Charles Pitt, director of casino operations for the Barrière group, which operates this establishment, and René-Francis Carpentier, the mayor of the town.

This appointment is a challenge for the former director of the Royan (Charente-Maritime) and Les Atlantes casinos, in Les Sables d’Olonne (Vendée), since since November 2021, and until July 2022, the Carry-le casino -Rouet is undergoing major renovations. In particular, there are plans for a 500 m2 extension of the play areas, the opening of a bar and a Café des Sports restaurant in the play rooms and the creation of a privatized space open to the sea and the port.

To succeed Hervé Le-Cam in Royan, the Barrière group is betting on Nathalie Lévêque. Currently stationed in La Baule (Loire-Atlantique), she will not officially take up her new duties until June 15 on the Côte de Beauté. The challenges awaiting the one who made her range in the group in Biarritz (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) are numerous. Because in addition to the work phase that the Royan casino will soon begin, which could thus increase from 175 to 200 slot machines, Nathalie Lévêque will also have to carry out, during her mandate, the renewal of the public service delegation of the establishment in 2027.

The Barrière casino in Carry-le-Rouet is in 33rd place in the ranking of French casinos with a PBJ of 8.947 million euros in 2020-2021. The Barrière de Royan casino is in 36th place in this same ranking, with a PBJ of 8.422 million euros over the same period
