France – Partouche given two year extension of Calais licence as tender is launched

The French city of Calais has issued a tender to operate the municipal casino in the city with candidates having until September 23 to respond.
The current six-year public service delegation began in mid-April 2016 and should have ended next April. The coronavirus pandemic has had a strong impact on the business levels at the casino, which is run by SAS Le Touquet’s, a division of the Partouche group. It is for this reason that the municipality has decided to extend the current DSP by two years. This extension ‘will allow the delegatee to recover the two years of operation lost or particularly impacted.’
