France – Partouche heralds Pasino Drive through in La Grande-Motte a success

By - 7 June 2021

The Partouche group has heralded the world first of a drive-through casino in the car park of its casino in La Grande-Motte in the Héraut region of France, a huge success with the plan to roll it out to more venues next year.

The concept was first aired in December but with casinos failing to reopen in January as expected, its world launch was delayed until May 1. Now after the concept’s first few weeks of operation, Partouche has said that its Pasino Drive, the world’s first drive-through casino, has been a resounding success.

Pasino Drive initially offered seven private tents with 31 slot machines and 18 electronic roulette stations. The games were disinfected between each visit, with boxes accommodating one to five people. After ten days of using this ‘concept that is unique in the world’, Fabrice Paire, Chairman of the Management Board of the Partouche group, is pleased with the initial results. “I am very satisfied in terms of perception and valuation for customers. It’s a very, very strong argument to have this facility.”

The casino has already made initial adjustments to better satisfy its customers. “In La Grande-Motte and its region, electronic table games are working very well and there is mainly a demand for electronic English roulette,” he continued. In order to take this specificity into account, for some boxes “we have added an electronic English roulette station.’

“You learn by walking for this new concept,” added Mr. Paire. “We will continue this year and perpetuate it. This is a real Partouche subject and it will only be Partouche. It is an original concept that we have filed and protected.”

No other Drive is planned this year, enough time to analyse the La Grande-Motte experience.

“This will be a Partouche exclusive and we fully intend to be able to develop it in other establishments. It is difficult to develop an outdoor casino like in La Ciotat in new regions, underlines Mr. Paire. There any parking lot and tents, this is much more easily reproducible. Next year it is something we have set our sights set on.”

However, any parking lot must be large enough to be able to install a drive-through without restricting parking for customers and not all casinos in the group will therefore be able to accommodate a Drive.
