France – Two Parisian gaming clubs to stay shut until COVID-restrictions are lifted

By - 15 June 2021

Two Parisian clubs have opted not to reopen in the current COVID-restricted climate with one explaining ‘gaming must remain a pleasure.’

The Pierre Charron Club has confirmed it didn’t reopen on June 9 with the Montmartre club also making the same decision.

The Pierre Charron Club stated: “Every day we measure our players’ eagerness to meet around our gaming tables; this strengthens our determination to offer them once again the most beautiful experience of Paris, but the game must remain fun. The new health protocol imposed degrades the standards to which our players are used to and the sensations that they like. The Pierre Charron Club will reopen its doors as soon as conditions allow a quality welcome. We look forward to hearing the click of tokens and our players’ exclamations echoing in the Club lounges again. With just a little more patience, the reunion will only be more beautiful.”

The French government is looking to lift all restrictions on June 30.
