Germany – Gauselmann Group appoints Dr. Bastian Scholz

The Gauselmann Group has appointed Dr. Bastian Scholz who is responsible for the coordination and intensification of the political work of the Gauselmann Group in the Management Board area Marketing, Communication and Politics as Senior Manager Public Affairs.

“With the appointment of Dr. Bastian Scholz, the Gauselmann Group‘s policy department will be further strengthened. We are very pleased that we were able to win such a well-connected and experienced employee at a young age,” explained Manfred Stoffers, Board Member for Marketing, Communications and Politics.

The doctor of political science has been working in various political fields for several years: After initially studying political science and public law at freie Universität Berlin, the 36-year-old completed his doctorate at Chemnitz University of Technology in 2015. For several years, Dr. Bastian Scholz worked as a research assistant in the German Bundestag in the Committee on Transport, Building and Urban Development as well as in university political adult education. Most recently, he managed the political activities of the German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) as Policy Advisor and is therefore very familiar with the complexity of the challenging gambling policy.

“During my work at the German Sports Betting Association, I have gained a lot of valuable experience in gambling policy. I am very pleased that I can now incorporate these into Germany’s market leader and thus further advance the industry policy work of the Gauselmann Group,” says Dr. Bastian Scholz.
