Germany – Hesse to launch online application for nationwide player blocking system

By - 2 July 2021

The state of Hesse has developed a modern processing system for online registration to the OASIS player blocking system, which can be a pilot for further procedures of this magnitude. Approx. 5,000 new organizers and up to 40,000 additional locations can be expected. The competent administrative authority is the Darmstadt Regional Council.

Both new organizers and organizers who are already connected to OASIS with an operating facility and who now have additional operating locations, for example, can register. E.g. want to connect in other federal states. For this purpose, forms are available with which the organizers register once, enter their data and set up a business location.

Applicants will immediately receive confirmation of registration stating the contract number. The further steps are carried out with the contract number. If there are several business premises, only the other business premises need to be created with reference to the contract number that has already been issued.

The online application process has an address check for German postal addresses, a verification of the e-mail address and the reuse of data that has already been entered, e.g. Example for follow-up applications. The online application process also has an upload function with which the necessary gaming permits or confirmations of suitability can be uploaded.

Darmstadt Regional Council said: “The data from the registration process are automatically forwarded to a specialist information system, which enables the further processing of the registration process. In this procedure, a comparison with existing data takes place in order to exclude duplicate registrations. The contract documents and the required certificates are sent by email from the specialist procedure. The passwords required for access will be sent to the organizers by post together with the signed contract.”

“When the contract is concluded, the organizers are automatically stored in the OASIS player blocking system and the processes processed are stored in the document management system. It is therefore a digitized application process that not only includes a date, but an entire processing process from end to end,” it added. “The ongoing functional tests have shown that all requirements for functionality and user-friendliness can be met. The system is currently being finally tested and optimized so that the system can start on August 2.”
