By - 10 September 2021

LOTTO Bayern and FC Augsburg have extended their partnership, which has existed for over 22 years, for the next two seasons. The state lottery and casino administration will therefore remain the exclusive partner of the Bundesliga soccer team until the end of the 2022/23 season.

For LOTTO Bayern, the partnership includes not only the TV-relevant advertising presence, but also new digital formats for communication in the online and social media areas, as well as campaigns at FCA’s Bundesliga home games. There will also be a digital away game quiz with attractive prizes for the 17 away games of the FCA, in which fans can participate via Instagram story.

“FC Augsburg has established itself as a permanent fixture in the 1st Bundesliga since it was promoted ten years ago. LOTTO Bayern stood by his side. I am very pleased that this long-term cooperation will be extended for another two years and that the strong partnership will be continued. The numerous fans from Fuggerstadt and the Swabian region will also experience great emotions with their traditional club in the coming seasons,” said Albert Füracker, Minister of Finance and Homeland, whose department also includes LOTTO Bayern.

“We will continue to be a reliable partner for FC Augsburg in the future. I’m all the more pleased about the extension of our cooperation because the FCA presents Bavarian football consistently and in a friendly manner in Germany’s elite league. The partnership, which has already existed for the third decade, is an important part of LOTTO Bayern’s commitment to sport,” said Friederike Sturm, President of LOTTO Bayern.

“We are proud to have a loyal base of long-term partners and sponsors at our side at FC Augsburg who are convinced of the strength of the FC Augs-burg brand. The partnership with LOTTO Bayern, which has been in existence for 22 years, is an absolute exemplary example of loyal and mutual support within the joint partnership. Especially in challenging times, it becomes clear how beneficial close connections are for everyone involved. We look forward to knowing that LOTTO Bayern will continue to be the exclusive partner in our sponsoring family in the coming years , ”adds FCA Managing Director Michael Ströll.

Simon Wortmann, Senior Director of the SPORTFIVE team added: “In the talks about extending the long-term FCA exclusive partnership, we were able to identify exciting new subject areas for the lottery. In future, the partner will increasingly make use of the possibility of integrating the FCA players into their own communication campaigns and motifs and conveying their messages through these popular figures. We look forward to accompanying and developing this partnership from year to year. “
