IBIA and LUX Fight League sign MoU to strengthen betting integrity cooperation

Strengthening cooperation to protect MMA from betting-related corruption

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and the LUX Fight League have signed an information-sharing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on sports betting integrity and support the protection of mixed martial arts from betting-related corruption. 

The LUX Fight League is one of Latin America’s leading mixed martial arts organisations, with a strong presence in Mexico and across the wider region. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to protecting athletes, competitions and fans by promoting integrity, transparency and effective monitoring in professional sport. Under the MoU, IBIA and the LUX Fight League will explore opportunities for information-sharing, integrity education and operational cooperation. The agreement also supports IBIA’s wider strategy of strengthening partnerships with sports organisations, regulators and other stakeholders in key markets globally.

As a not-for-profit association funded by its members, IBIA does not charge sports governing bodies for the suspicious betting reports, intelligence or integrity support it provides under its partnerships. The association’s collaboration model is designed to strengthen the protection of sport through information-sharing, education and operational cooperation at no cost to sports organisations. IBIA monitors over 1.5 million matches across more than 80 sports each year, with its operator intelligence playing a crucial role in supporting sporting, regulatory and law-enforcement investigations. Its recently published Q2 2026 Integrity Report recorded 76 suspicious betting alerts across 9 sports, demonstrating the continued importance of effective monitoring, information-sharing and cooperation between betting operators, sports bodies and other integrity stakeholders.
