Italy – Novomatic’s new Board of Directors ready for growth in Italy

Novomatic’s new Board of Directors for its Italian business believe the company is entering a new era in its history in Italy

Due to the recent announcement about the new composition of Novomatic Italia’s Board of Directors, made up of well-established personalities within the Group,

CEO Markus Buechele said: “After a consolidation phase, we are preparing our Group for further growth. We are adopting a long-term vision of business development in the Italian gaming market. Growth also means technological development of our systems and products to underline our leading position in the market. We focus on our customers and through Novomatic products and services we want to offer them superior gaming equipment. Regarding future challenges, we have a highly motivated and skilled team, and I can confirm that the Novomatic family of more out of 2,600 colleagues, is ready to grow.”

President Franco Sergio Rota, founder of the Group in Italy 14 years ago, said: “I envisioned a Group truly active on all fronts, in the Italian gaming sector, leading innovation and quality, following the example of the Austrian headquarters. That is why I have the honour to represent Novomatic in this new stage, which further extends and enhances all the characteristics of excellence that it has expressed to date.”

Chief Operating Officer Karl Plank added: “I have always believed that the presence of a company in the territory is the most important and valuable asset. Our gambling halls are, and will continue to be, a jewel on the Italian gaming scene. In recent months, we have grown and acquired new establishments, despite the closures, despite the pandemic, because we believe in our work and we aim to continue offering safe and responsible entertainment in Italy, with attention to every detail. In addition, I will be in charge of developing our business unit dedicated to AWP, both in terms of production and sales, as well as game development.”
