Léo Dafflon crowned Swiss Poker Champion 2025
The Live Final of the 2025 Swiss Poker Championship took place this weekend at Swiss Casino Zurich. Léo Dafflon prevailed against a top-class field of participants to secure the title of 2025 Swiss Pokerm Champion.
The final also marked the climax of the fifth anniversary year of the popular Swiss poker tournament series. On June 14 and 15, Switzerland’s 27 best poker players competed in the grand final. Over 600 qualifying tournaments, Twister formats, and cash games took place online at swisscasinos.ch. A total of 3,750 players participated in the qualification to secure one of the coveted final spots.
After two intense days of tactical skill, thrilling duels, and sensational hands, the three finalists agreed to share the CHF 36,000 prize money equally. In the end, Léo Dafflon prevailed and, in addition to the coveted title, received a ticket to the Main Event in Barcelona worth €5,300. The winner enthused: “It’s an incredible feeling. I can hardly put it into words,” adding, “It also takes a bit of luck to win the tournament. I’ll be back next year.”
The other finalists also received attractive rewards: Second place went to Kevin Röthlisberger and third place to Shiro Mangold. These two poker players also received a ticket to the Main Event in Barcelona and prize money of over CHF 10,000 each.
A total of nine tickets to poker events in Barcelona and cash prizes were awarded to all 27 finalists. With a total guaranteed prize pool of around CHF 550,000, including the CHF 100,000 final prize pool sponsored by Swiss Casinos, the tournament offered a strong incentive for ambitious players from all over Switzerland.
After the successful conclusion of the anniversary edition, the focus is already on the future: poker fans can now look forward to the Swiss Poker Championship 2026.
