Players are invited to journey across the dark world of the Egyptian netherworld, an intersection between the realms of the dead and living. To succeed on this quest, players must join forces with a bird-like creature Ba that helps them find the Book of Ba that opens the doors to a number of features and wins.

The base game of the slot is enhanced with the Shatter mode, in which winning symbols explode on the reels to make room for new winning combinations. The maximum count of reels shattered is four and each shatter round increases the multiplier up to four times.

Players can end up with larger payouts when three Book symbols land on the reels as they trigger 10 free spins with a special expanding symbol chosen at random. This special symbol doesn’t necessarily have to appear on adjoining reels and can pop up on any of the five spinning reels. As in the base game, the multiplier rises with each free spin up to four times.
