African operator goes live with leading emerging-markets aggregator, looking to raise the bar for casino turnover, sportsbook cross-sell, and retention
OdiBets, a powerhouse operator for East Africa, has gone live with the QTech aggregation platform across Kenya and Tanzania.
This QTech-powered casino and sportsbook rollout features a wide range of localised content, including popular igaming genres like crash games and lightweight games, which are increasingly in-demand from African players and operators alike, since they neatly sidestep barriers to the user experience (UX), like poor handset quality, restricted access to fast networks, or high data costs.
Consequently, QTech’s comprehensive portfolio always offers workaround flexibility with such “light” suppliers, minimising caching, while device fragmentation is handled through rigorous testing across the low- and mid-tier Android devices that are prevalent in these African markets. After all, a game that performs well on fibre in Nairobi, but struggles on 3G outside the capital, has failed the local player. So, passing this test has become the standard by which OdiBets and QTech now hold every integration and launch.
QTech is also deploying its new multi-sportsbook strategy within a product portfolio spearheaded by some top-tier names like BETBY and Song88. Several sportsbooks, handpicked by QTech to allow its clients to choose and refine which sports and markets are most suitable for them and their customers, are now at OdiBets’ disposal with which to tackle local-market adaptions, or specific managed trading requirements, as the brand expands across East Africa.
Agatha Wanjugu, QTech’s Sales Manager for East Africa, said: “Partnering with OdiBets is a significant milestone for QTech as we continue strengthening our presence across East Africa. This partnership brings together OdiBets’s market expertise and QTech’s extensive igaming and sportsbook offering to deliver a stronger, more competitive gaming experience for players across Kenya and Tanzania.
“We’re excited to support a partner with such an impressive footprint and ambitious growth plans. Being trusted to power such a respected brand is a testament to the strength of our platform, our team, and our commitment to helping operators grow through localized content, reliable technology, and the widest range of premium games in the market.”
This combined success story is also founded on the strength of QTech’s proprietary aggregation platform and a willingness to work in genuine partnership with its clients, from established brands to local challengers, to achieve mutual goals. What works in one market won’t by extension work in another, even if it’s a neighbouring one. So, close collaboration with OdiBets proved essential for capitalising on specific market requirements and embracing more innovations that drive growth (e.g. local data that informs QTech’s recommendation engine, QT Play; or harnessing QTech’s Value-Added Services).
QTech is constantly improving its aggregation platform’s functionalities to optimise performance. And by gathering, analysing, and refining raw data, it is helping OdiBets identify and capitalise on emerging trends. Effective collaboration also involves understanding the relationships within the data and developing strategic plans to action and take advantage of those insights. This enhances player retention and ensures that OdiBets benefits from new levels of engagement and player insights.
Ekaterina Mayorova, Head of Region for Africa at QTech, commented: “One of the key pillars in our commercial vision is to partner with market leaders to maximise market position by harnessing local awareness and expertise. And this collaboration with OdiBets provides another eloquent example.
“At QTech, we believe that sustainable growth is derived from aligning great content with strategic deployment via targeted packages, based on our product specialists knowing what works well in any given market. We’re also excited to offer our growing range of sports-betting and casino suppliers whose complementary strengths form the perfect model for optionality and agility across the African landscape.
“Staying local is crucial, of course, and we always strengthen our service with a range of value-added BI and marketing tools. Remember, promotional toolkits are not simply bonuses, but strategic engagement mechanisms that help operators maximise the value of their content by adapting campaigns to local player behaviour, preferred game types and individual market dynamics. And we’re thrilled to see OdiBets stewarding these responsible tools so effectively.”
Benedict Murithi, Country Marketing Manager at OdiBets, added: “Our goal has always been to give our players the best possible entertainment experience, and partnering with QTech Games helps us do exactly that. Their extensive content portfolio, reliable technology, and understanding of African markets made them the right choice for us as we continue expanding across Kenya, Tanzania, and beyond.
“We’re excited about what this partnership means for OdiBets. It gives us access to more premium content, faster integrations, and the flexibility to respond to what our players want. We see QTech as a long-term partner that will support our growth and help us stay ahead in an increasingly competitive market.”
