SJM celebrates a new chapter for L’Arc Hotel as a self-owned property
Casino L’Arc Macau now officially owned by SJM
SJM Resorts has marked a significant new chapter for L’Arc Hotel with a celebratory ceremony held at the property, marking the casino’s transition from a satellite casino to a fully-owned SJM operation.
As well as signalling the hotel’s official inclusion as a self-owned member of SJM’s property portfolio, the occasion also marked the beginning of its next phase of development. At the same time, SJM joined hands with guests, locals, and tourists to ring in the New Year. The celebrations feature auspicious lion dance and drum extravaganzas, injecting a burst of vitality into the Macau Peninsula.
The celebration commenced at 4 p.m. with Ms. Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM, accompanied by senior management, officiating the eye-dotting ritual with a troupe of eight lions, symbolising good fortune and prosperity. As the drumbeats started to sound, the ensemble mixed with traditional performances to create a joyous atmosphere and excitement for the audiences. The God of Fortune also joined the troupe to distribute dining vouchers from L’Arc Hotel, heralding blessings and abundance for guests in the New Year.
L’Arc Hotel is a well-established hospitality property located in the NAPE district on Avenida 24 de Junho, with a gross floor area of approximately 86,438 square metres, comprising hotel accommodation, food and beverage outlets, retail and the premises of Casino L’Arc Macau.
Following the completion of the acquisition, SJM Resorts received the requisite approval from the Macau SAR Government to directly manage and operate Casino L’Arc Macau from 2 a.m. on 30 December 2025, thereby enabling its continued operation under SJM Resorts.
With the transaction now completed, SJM Resorts has taken over the integrated operations of L’Arc Hotel. This addition to the Group’s portfolio strengthens its position within a high-density catchment area, enhancing synergies across its Lisboa-branded properties and enabling SJM Resorts to retain geocentrically loyal customers, improve customer circulation and broaden its market reach.
Looking ahead, SJM will build on the prime location and established customer base of L’Arc Hotel, further enriching its accommodation, dining, and complementary offerings. By working in synergy with its Lisboa-branded properties and neighbouring businesses, SJM aims to build a more dynamic and interconnected tourism network across the Peninsula, offering visitors a more seamless and diversified city resort
experience. Through the continued development of L’Arc Hotel, SJM remains committed to strengthening Macau’s position as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”, contributing to high-quality tourism growth and the city’s broader economic diversification.
