Spain – Spain braces itself for El Gordo

The European Lottery Guild (ELG) has officially announced details of the Spanish Christmas Lottery, or El Gordo as it is known, and sales have already begun. This huge annual event takes place on December 22 and attracts lottery players from around the world; with a total prize pool of over €2.2bn, it is the largest lottery in the world.
Elizabeth Moore, spokesperson for the ELG, said: “This time of year is extremely busy for us and sales are already up on last year. The Winter El Gordo is a huge event and as well as our regular customers getting their annual tickets, we of course cater to many more lottery fans who join us to become involved in this potentially life-changing event.”
The ELG offers lottery players from all over the world the chance to take part in the amazing El Gordo Christmas draw. By joining the exclusive Spanish Lottery Premier Syndicate, the participants will have a chance of a prize at every single level of the draw, including the huge “El Gordo” jackpot.
