Spanish rollout continues with one of the country’s longest-running casino brands

Stakelogic has launched its slot content with Casino Barcelona, the online gaming platform of Casino Barcelona, part of Casinos Grup Peralada. The iconic Barcelona venue has been part of the Spanish gaming landscape since 1978.

Players on CasinoBarcelona.es can now access a selection of Stakelogic slots, delivered through Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform. The integration is the latest Stakelogic has completed in Spain via Light & Wonder this year, following go-lives with Gran Madrid Casino Online and Luckia.

Casino Barcelona opened in 1978, shortly after games of chance were legalised in Spain, and now operates from the city’s Port Olímpic, next to the Hotel Arts. Its online platform (CasinoBarcelona.es) followed in 2012 and runs under licence from Spain’s Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ).

The brand belongs to Casinos Grup Peralada, which has operated casinos in Catalonia for more than four decades and also owns Casino Peralada and Casino Tarragona. Together, the group’s Spanish venues were the first land-based casinos in the country to be certified under the European Casino Association’s Responsible Gambling Framework.

Roberto Navarrete, Senior Account Manager at Stakelogic, said: “Casino Barcelona has been around since the late seventies, so many of the players on its online platform will have come to know the brand on the casino floor first. That’s a different starting point from a digital-only operator, and one we value.

“We’ve been steadily adding Spanish partners through Light & Wonder, and seeing our slots go live with a name that has this much history behind it is a good fit for where we want to be in the market.”

Aarón Morano Chamorro, Product Manager at CasinoBarcelona, added: “Stakelogic already has a following among Spanish players, so bringing its slots into our lobby through Light & Wonder made sense for us. Our players expect variety whenever they log in, and this gives them a fresh set of games from a studio they may well have played elsewhere.”
