Sweden – Play Hippo to buy Futuremark Gaming

Play Hippo, which trades on AktieTorget, has bought Futuremark Gaming Group (FGG) from New Equity Venture, Nevi, also listed on AktieTorget for SEK 25m.

Futuremark Gaming Group operates three gaming sites, pdisewin.com, mywin24.com, and vipstakes.com., all three of which have games from Microgaming and Netent as well as a live casino.

The three operators have a total of 122,000 registered players and a network of approximately 400 affiliates. Net revenue in the last 12 months amounted to €350,000. Futuremark Gaming Group has assets of about €4.2m, of which just over €2m is cash.

Play Hippos CEO Christian Bönnelyche said: “The group will now have three new casinos that have a good selection of games from Netent and Microgaming and a live casino, which is the fastest growing casino segment. We have brands that provide positive cash flow directly and gives us a great opportunities to cross-sell as Play Hippos database is inactive. We also get into financially strong owner who has a fine track record of developing companies.”
Nevi-owned subsidiary B18 Invest is selling its 72 per cent in FGG.
B18 Invest aims to take an active ownership role in Play Hippo and be involved in the company’s future development.
