Switzerland – Gaming1 confirms plans in Davos and Crans-Montana following licence renewal

Gaming1, the Belgian technology and entertainment leader, has retained the licences to run Davos Casino and Crans-Montana Casino from the Swiss Federal Council for the period 2025-2044.

In Crans-Montana, as reported by Journal des Casinos,Gaming1 plans to modernize and expand the casino by adding a sports bar, seminar rooms, a new restaurant area with a view of the pond and reception rooms. The casino has also committed to reducing the building’s greenhouse gas emissions by 75 per cent by 2035. The group also hopes to obtain an online license in order to provide its technical expertise and offer Swiss players a immersive multi-channel experience, the press release further reveals.

In Davos, Gaming1 intends to move its casino to a nearby building in order to expand it and broaden its offering. A new sports bar should also be created within this new space.

Emmanuel Mewissen, CEO of Gaming1, said: “I am happy and proud that the Gaming1 group has obtained these two new concessions for the Davos and Crans-Montana casinos. This news also delights all employees and confirms the quality of our management and our development strategy. We thank the various authorities for the trust they place in us.”

Last October, Gaming1 acquired the majority of shares in the Crans-Montana casino through Circus Casino France.
