UK – Bookmaking supplier SIS moves into social space

Satellite Information Services (SIS) is moving into the social media space by partnering with digital intelligence experts iris-Concise to develop innovative monitoring products for use by bookmakers, their traders and punters.

SIS will work with iris Concise, the consulting arm of the creative innovation network iris, to develop sophisticated search tools with the capability to listen in to social comment on leading networks, such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This will then be filtered by date, sport, territory, betting trends, bet-types and markets, and a range of other topics, enabling SIS to produce a wealth of data around a given event whether it is football, horse racing or tennis, or a major event such as the World Cup. It can then turn that into useful applications to help all sides of the betting industry.

A leading provider of end-to-end products and services to the betting and broadcast industries, SIS’s partnership with iris Concise, experts in social intelligence, is the latest strand in its digital strategy to grow and diversify its range of services, shaping and developing ground-breaking solutions aimed at the betting industry, and roll out those products into the digital market place.

The listening process is done on a non-personalised, aggregated basis and is carried out in full compliance with privacy policies operated by the social media platforms.
