UK – Century Casino Bath to open on May 25

By - 4 May 2018

Century Casino will open its casino in the historical English city of Bath on May 25.

It will open with 18 gaming tables, 35 slot machines and 24 automated live gaming terminals and will open alongside a 147 bedroom four-star hotel and an Italian restaurant.

The casino is located in the center of Bath’s evening leisure district and opposite the popular Theatre Royal.
Business development manager Kartini Sutoto said: “All of us at Century Casino Bath are tremendously excited about welcoming the public to the opening of our casino from 9pm on Friday, May 25. The casino will be a fantastic new addition to the entertainment and nightlife of Bath and will offer facilities and an environment worthy of the already wonderful city.”

The aim for the operator is to ‘reconnect to its celebrated history as 18th century England’s gaming epicentre. Bringing a whole new dimension to entertainment in the city comes Century Casino, offering visitors a classic casino experience.’
“In addition to the beautifully designed gaming floors we are also proud to announce the opening of the magnificent Beau Nash Suite: an exclusive elegant top floor room with its own balcony, available for private hire and gaming. Each floor will deliver quintessential card games and roulette, as well as the latest in gaming technology for those seeking a more modern experience.”

Bath is an affluent city in the southwest of England and attracts approx. five million tourists annually; the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The immediate catchment area includes a population of approx. 185,000 in and around Bath. The casino is expected to be the only licensed casino in the greater Bath area.

Century took over the project, one of the stalled, ‘small’ casino licences of the Gambling Act 2005.

“We are excited about the opportunity to enter the UK gaming market with the addition of the Saw Close Casino to Century’s portfolio. We believe the casino in Bath has the potential to provide an attractive return on our investment,” said the company’s Co CEOs Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger.
