UK – EAG International 2014 ready to kick-start coin-op New Year

By - 9 January 2014

Preparations for EAG International, to be held January 21 at London’s ExCel, are in the final stages with manufacturers from Europe and beyond putting the final touches to their product presentations.

EAG International is a unique event, put on by the amusements and coin-op industries for the sole benefit of the amusements and coin-op industries. The show follows a long tradition of a London event in the third week of January, and is regarded by many as the curtain raiser on the New Year.

Visitors to EAG International will be able to see and try the very latest products from over 180 manufacturers. A spokesperson for the event said: “The range of products on offer will mirror the needs of a dynamic sector, hungry for new products to delight and entertain its customers. The sheer breadth and number of product launches planned for EAG International is impressive; a small sample of what visitors will see reveals the latest 4D immersive video theatres, amusements, vending, redemption games and systems, prize merchandize, kiddie rides and a wide range of the latest licensed and generic plush.”

UK Operators expecting to see the first £100 AWPs will not be disappointed, with several manufacturers planning to reveal their new games releases.

Such is the focus of EAG International that virtually all exhibitors plan to show something new, with several strong global brands promising European releases. Exhibitors will have travelled from Belgium, China, Germany, Italy, Northern Ireland, Poland, San Marino, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey and the UAE. Indeed, despite tough trading conditions, EAG International 2014 has attracted 14 completely new Exhibitors.

EAG International’s prominence and timing have encouraged a number of Associations and other industry groups to hold meetings and special events at the show, achieving remarkably efficient use of time for attendees.

EAG International’s website will keep visitors up to speed with the latest product news with participants able to view up-to-the minute bulletins from exhibitors on Twitter by using the #EagLive hashtag.

The spokesperson added: “With many operators feeling cautiously optimistic about prospects for 2014, increased investment in equipment and ancillary products will inevitably follow. EAG International will gather the latest and best products under one roof, enabling purchasers to make informed choices and secure the best possible return on their investments.”
