UK – Grosvenor launches poker tournament for Davids

Grosvenor Casinos is giving six poker players free training and entry into Europe’s largest poker tournament with a guaranteed grand prize of £100,000 as long as their name is David, or a derivative thereof.

Held in Coventry each year ‘Grosvenor Casinos Presents Goliath’ attracts the ultimate amateur elite of the poker world. Last year’s tournament saw a whopping 6,385 entrants try their hand at winning a portion of the £638,500 prize pool, with a grand first prize pot of £85,760. And this year promises to be bigger and better with a guaranteed first prize of £100,000.
Opened on 7th June and closing on 28th June, the Grosvenor Casinos ‘Search for a David’ competition will allow Daves, Davids, Davinas, Davidsons and any other derivative thereof, to enter via the Facebook page. Those selected will be put through their poker paces with intensive training from Grosvenor Casinos’ professionals in a two-day bootcamp. They will swat up on every poker variation, blinds, bluffs and learn tactics for keeping their cool within the intense Goliath atmosphere. Those that make the grade will be gifted free entry to ‘Grosvenor Casinos Presents Goliath’ for a shot at winning a life changing amount of money.
