UK – Playtech brings industry’s first betting slip for live tables to Ladbrokes

By - 10 July 2018

Playtech has partnered with Ladbrokes Coral to deliver the industry’s first bet slip fully integrated into the Live Casino client.

Playtech’s new bet slip solution will allow football-mad Ladbrokes Coral customers to follow live odds and action without leaving the tables.

The fully tailored studio, available 24/7, features Roulette operated by Sports-trained dealers, who will provide match commentary throughout each World Cup game. For an even more immersive experience, a dedicated video wall will display major game events and match statistics.

Developed with a mobile-first focus, players can enjoy a seamless experience across all devices, placing their bets without leaving the table and staying fully up-to-date on the action at the same time. The automated sports betting content will be delivered courtesy of Fresh8, ensuring that the most popular and optimised bets are delivered to the user.

Development of the bet slip is the next stage in a series of Sports and Live Casino crossovers for Playtech and Ladbrokes Coral, following the creation of Cheltenham Festival-themed Roulette room, which features live streaming of all races, for the Coral brand last year.

“The new Ladbrokes Coral integrated bet slip is a significant step forward for the Live Casino experience”, said Kevin Kilminster, Head of Live Casino Innovation for Playtech. “Sports fans no longer have to choose between playing Roulette and keeping up-to-date with the big events. With everything they need to place sports bets fully incorporated into the Live studio, it’s a more convenient and engaging experience for the players.

“This is the first time any provider has delivered a full solution to bring an operator sportsbook offering into the Live Casino client. Owing to our unique omnichannel capabilities, Playtech is best placed to deliver this type of premium experience for operators.”

Antonio Ruggeri, Live Casino Product Manager for Ladbrokes Coral, said: “Following the highly successful launch of Cheltenham Roulette last year, we’re delighted to be partnering with Playtech again to launch the industry’s first fully integrated bet slip.

“This technology adds a brand-new dimension to our Live offering and is a great opportunity for players who enjoy sports betting to try out the Live Casino environment without missing out on any of the action. We’re confident the new bet slip will get a great reaction from players during the World Cup and beyond.”

A sports betting marketing automation platform has been provided by Fresh8 Gaming which automates the delivery of the sports betting content, ensuring that the most popular and optimized bets are delivered to the user in real time. By using Ladbrokes’ remote bet-slip the user can then transact directly within the Fresh8 advert without ever leaving the Playtech live casino client.

The Fresh8 technology is live with more than 15 sports and all the most popular leagues including global soccer, NBA and NFL. The live roulette tables are obviously popular 24/7 so the automation of the sports content is critical ensuring customers see the most relevant bets, and the latest ‘#GetAPrice’ enhanced odds offers from Ladbrokes at all hours of the sporting day.

Andrew Sharland, CEO at Fresh8, said “The combination of our automated content delivery into the live casino experience is really exciting. Fresh8 are ensuring the most popular bets at that moment are being driven to the user. On-screen talent therefore know that whenever they reference sports the customer is being offered something highly relevant. We are seeing this combination convert brilliantly.”
