US – GLI QMS Team gains lead auditor certification

By - 3 September 2015

All members of Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI) Quality Management System (QMS) team, including those in the United States, Canada, Italy, South Africa and Australia, have successfully completed the ISO 17025:2005 Lead Auditor certification exam.

With trained and qualified lead auditors in each geographic location, GLI maintains the highest level of quality throughout the entire gaming device acceptance, testing and certification process. The on-site lead auditors are now certified as subject matter experts and will be able to address compliance questions or concerns immediately, a value-added service that will better assist GLI’s customers.
Recently, GLI acquired SLI Global Solutions (SLI), a leader in Quality Assurance and Software Testing Services, to its growing portfolio of companies. With this acquisition, SLI Global Solutions and GLI combine to form one of the largest organizations with a singular focus on software testing and quality assurance worldwide.

Senior Director, ISO at SLI Global Solutions Daniel Charlong said: “Certification as a lead auditor demonstrates a high level of commitment to establishing a world-leading quality management system at GLI. The knowledge and expertise required to achieve this qualification will assist management in all global offices as they will have immediate access to information or queries about the ISO 17025 standards and how they apply to testing and certification of submissions. Having this accreditation provides all members of the QMS team with a skill and competency and strengthens the relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction. Our lead auditors now have the capacity to address issues and quickly satisfy customer needs.”

Eight employees worked to achieve this certification, recently taking a comprehensive exam. This accreditation also means that each lead auditor will be able to assess GLI sub-contractors and suppliers for compliance to international organizational requirements.
