US – Olympia Gaming breaks ground on Legends Bay Casino in Reno

Olympia Gaming has started construction of Legends Bay Casino, located near The Outlets at Legends shopping center in Sparks, Reno, Nevada, with an opening planned in the middle of 2022.
Its opening will mark the first casino built from the ground up in the Reno-Sparks metropolitan area in 26 years. The 80,000-sq. ft. facility will include a casino with new slot machines and table games, multiple dining options, several bars and a sports book.
DeCourcy Graham, Chief Operating Officer of Olympia Gaming, said: “This project is 14 years in the making. After successfully completing the first phase of this project with the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton and the Residence Inn by Marriott, we are now in a position to begin the next phase of development. We thank the City of Sparks and RED Development for helping bring this project to reality. We plan to build a project that the community will be proud to call their own. We think having a casino experience in the heart of the shopping center will be a great opportunity.”
Olympia Gaming also owns Casino Fandango in Carson City.
“We’ve learned a lot and we’re comfortable operating in this environment and we’re hopeful that the situation continues to improve in Nevada and throughout the country,” Mr. Graham added.
