US – Oneida Casino expands mobile sports to allow betting anywhere on its reservation land

Wisconsin’s Oneida Casino has launched a new sports betting app, allowing customers to place a bet anywhere on Oneida Nation land, in addition to its physical casino locations.
The sportsbook app’s 100-mile radius is the first of its kind in the state. Once launched the app helped the number of bets placed double the next day with a 20 per cent increase seen since.
Louise Cornelius, the General Manager of Oneida Gaming, said: “We are very excited to announce this significant expansion. As the first casino in Wisconsin to introduce sports betting, we are dedicated to providing the best experience for our customers and this is an improvement they have been asking for. This strategic opportunity allows us to better meet the growing demands of legal sports wagering.”
Customers have to activate their accounts at designated physical locations, including the Oneida Casino, Main-Airport, or West Madison locations. Account deposits and withdrawals also need to be handled at physichal locations.
The casino launched its sportsbook in 2021.
Oneida Casino CFO Chad Fuss said: “The first year that we opened we literally had lines of people as far as you can see back this way waiting to make bets. Customers have been asking us since we opened the sports bet booking to make it a little bit more broader.”
