US – Revel sees Gamblers Wanted campaign increase GGR by 33 per cent

By - 12 August 2013

Revel, Atlantic City’s newest casino, has claimed its controversial Gamblers Wanted campaign has been a huge success boosting table play by 36 per cent and its slot play by 32 per cent in the month of July.

As part of the ‘Gamblers Wanted’ campaign, Revel promised that ‘from July 1 to 31, all rated slot losses greater than $100 will be refunded to gamblers using a Revel Card.  Gamblers who win, win, but a gambler that loses over the month of July will get that loss refunded.’

Despite some customers complaining that the ads were misleading, Revel insisted they had been a huge success.

Jeff Hartmann, Interim Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are deeply grateful that many Atlantic City gamblers are giving us a second chance and I couldn’t be prouder of all of the Revel professionals who pulled together to help bring them to our property.   “We have made it clear that at the new Revel Casino Hotel, Gamblers are Wanted, and they have clearly responded across the board to not only our new marketing strategy, but our operational changes and service culture that is built around a commitment to work as hard as we can for the guest.”

“July was just the beginning of our new operating strategy, and we are continuing to bring the most exciting casino events and promotions to our guests.  In August, we’ve upped the ante even more.   This month, we are holding more than 30,000 gas card drawings, offering free self-parking to everyone with a Revel card, and come Labor Day weekend, will be giving away 48 cars in 48 hours.   And in what we believe is another Atlantic City first, all 48 cars can be found on property – at our entryways, on our casino floor, in our retail areas, and near our restaurants. We hope that if customers liked what Revel did in July, they’ll love having more than 31,000 extra ways to win this August.”
