US – Virgin delays rebrand of Hard Rock Las Vegas to next February

By - 9 April 2019

Virgin Hotels is delaying its rebranding of the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas, which it bought in March Last year, until early next year.

Plans for the US$200m revamp are nearly complete but Hard Rock President and CEO Richard Bosworth revealed work wouldn’t start until after the Super Bowl, which will take place February 2 in Miami.

Mr. Bosworth said: “The property’s project deadlines were fluid and the scope of the project continued to expand. Based on the additional improvements that we have identified, the deadline to begin work has shifted to early 2020.”

The Hard Rock will be rebranded Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and will lose its ocinic guitar outside the 1.500 room property.

The renovation will be carried out by Taylor International Corp. and McCarthy Building, Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors, Rockwell Group, and Studio Collective.
