Vietnam – IGT deploys Asia’s first floor-wide G2S floorBy Phil - 31 July 2013
International Game Technology (IGT) has been selected to provide its state-of-the-art sbX system to the prestigious The Grand Ho Tram Strip, Vietnam.
The deal also marks the first time that a casino in Asia will implement a floor-wide Game to System (G2S) floor, all done in conjunction with IGT’s Advantage casino management solution.
Along with the inclusion of sbX, which creates a path for an open-system architecture, the luxury resort and casino will take advantage of IGT Media Manager and the IGT Universal Game Adaptor, or UGA, allowing Service Window technology acrossslots on the gaming floor, including other manufacturers’ games.
“The expansion into Vietnam is a great step forward in the growing Asia market. IGT’s ability to provide properties such as The Grand Ho Tram Strip with a casino floor that is based upon open gaming standards allows for flexibility and forward-thinking innovation in their operations,” said Eric Tom, executive vice president of global sales at IGT. “Having the ability to provide a better player experience on the floor with personal interaction at the Service Window is a valuable way for the property to differentiate itself from its competitors.”
The Grand Ho Tram Strip will utilise products from across the Advantage product suite, including Table Manager as well as the newly released IGT Rebates and Commission module, developed especially for the junket market in Asia.
“Our selection of IGT’s systems and UGA technology was based upon the company’s long term commitment to innovation,” said Mike Santangelo, COO at The Grand Ho Tram Strip. “We strive to provide our guests with the ultimate integrated resort experience from the moment they enter our property. With IGT as our partner, we are able to provide access to a large game theme selection, and ultimately unparalleled gaming entertainment.”
