Argentina – Betsson goes live in Córdoba

The fourth licensed operator in the province of Córdoba has now gone live with the launch of Betsson.
Andrea Rossi, Betsson’s Commercial Director for Latin America, shared her enthusiasm for the “opening of a new market” and stated, “Córdoba is a very important market for us, because – along with Buenos Aires City and Buenos Aires Province (PBA) – they make up the three most concentrated urban centres in the country. Our presence in all these districts consolidates Betsson’s positioning as the leading entertainment company in the country, delivering moments full of excitement.”
Referring to the Argentina’s latest World Cup win (the country’s third) Maximiliano Bellio, Betsson’s Country Manager in Argentina, added that “with the arrival in Córdoba, Betsson achieved its third star. For us, it’s a great achievement, and we are very excited and eager for Cordobeses (those living in the province) to enjoy themselves in the best online casino in Argentina.” Players from the province will be able to deposit directly from their Mercado Pago accounts, will be offered special betting lines, promotional super odds, and a large number of exclusive prizes.
Betsson is the Main Sponsor of Club Atlético Boca Juniors and is also a sponsor of Racing Club de Avellaneda. The brand also has a presence in the most popular Argentine reality shows and television programs, as well as the most popular beach resort on the Argentine coast in Mar del Plata.

Online gaming is now fully enabled in the territory of Córdoba after completing a 45 day trial period between November 21st and January 4th. Officially, the market was launched on Friday the 5th January. Online betting is only permitted from devices located in the province of Córdoba and online gambling is distributed between four companies: Betsson, PlayCet, B-Play and Jugadón. Licenses are valid for 15 years and may not be renewed.
