Tranchant Group launches new-look casino at the foot of Mont Blanc

After nearly a year of renovations, the Saint-Gervais-les-Bains casino in Haute-Savoie, has revealed its new look at the foot of Mont Blanc.

Operated by the Tranchant Group, the casino has changed its name to Casino Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc.

The relaunch has seen a contemporary redesign of the outdoor spaces and the integration of a reception room. This modernisation aims to adapt the local offer to new events and tourist expectations. The new venue is based on contemporary lines, gold finishes and specific night-time lighting. The outdoor facilities and the forecourt have been completely reconfigured to optimise traffic flow and user comfort. According to management, this aesthetic requalification makes it possible to harmonise the exterior image of the building with the quality standards of its interior spaces.

The casino hosted two inaugural events on June 25, and Saturday, June 27. The first event honoured the various tradespeople who worked on the project, as well as partners, elected officials, institutional representatives, the Tranchant Group, and the casino staff.

Tranchant said: “Defined by elegance and a spirit of sharing, this inauguration offered our guests a timeless interlude. This official inauguration was an opportunity to thank everyone who—from the initial sketches to the final touches supported this transformation with professionalism, dedication, and passion. These two evenings, different in format yet complementary in spirit, shared a single goal: to introduce the new Casino Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc and share the fruits of an ambitious project with as many people as possible. The project highlighted our establishment’s identity as a vibrant hub for entertainment and social connection, deeply rooted in the local area.’

David Le Bonniec, the casino’s General Manager, said to Journal des Casinos: “With this transformation, we are opening a new chapter in the history of the Casino de Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc. Driven by the Tranchant Group’s vision, this project goes beyond mere architectural renovation; it affirms our ambition to make the casino a true social hub—elegant, contemporary, and fully integrated into the local community. The casino has a close-knit team of 20 employees, where everyone takes on multiple roles, commits fully, and gives their best. Our greatest asset is the strength of our team—our cohesion, our energy, and our shared desire to delight our customers, often going well beyond our standard duties to make our casino shine.”

With its 70 slot machines, 13 electronic table game stations, two blackjack tables, and an operating license running until 2030, the Saint-Gervais-les-Bains casino generated a gross gaming revenue of €4.98m during the 2024–2025 fiscal year. This performance places it 142nd in the French rankings.
