Work to complete on Casino Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc by July
French operator Tranchant group is looking to complete work at its Saint-Gervais-les-Bains casino at the foot of Mont Blanc in Haute-Savoie, by the end of June.
The project for this casino, which opened to the public in 2002, includes the renovation of the interior spaces, a complete overhaul of the exterior landscaping, and a repositioning focused on its local community.
“Currently, the landscaping of the casino is underway. Next, the exterior pedestrian walkways in exposed aggregate concrete will be completed. Following that, the exterior signage will be installed, the parking lot barriers will be fixed, and the new lampposts will be put in place,” a casino spokesperson said to Journal des Casinos.
The work on the lighting, the facade, and the forecourt, clad in Saint-Gervais stone, is complete, and the performance hall has been totally gutted and renovated.
“The electricity and lighting have been completely redone, the bar in this modular space has been demolished and rebuilt, a new dance floor has been installed, the stage has been enlarged, and the dressing room area for artists has been expanded,” added the casino, which will now be able to accommodate groups of varying sizes for private events thanks to a new entrance separate from the gaming area.
The goal of this extensive renovation is to offer visitors, from their very first steps inside the casino, a higher-quality, more user-friendly experience in harmony with its surroundings. This is why, in addition to these renovations, the Saint-Gervais-les-Bains casino has adopted a new logo and changed its name to Casino Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc.
“This name change is accompanied by a new visual identity, designed to reflect the values of conviviality, accessibility, and local roots that characterise the site. Casino Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc is continuing its development as a place of entertainment and social interaction within the Tranchant Group,” the spokesperson said.
The casino celebrated its 24th anniversary this month. The renewal of its gaming offerings has already resulted in the arrival of three new G55J1 VIP gaming cabinets from EGT in March. They feature the Bell Link multi-game concept. Similarly, three Magic Treasure Dragon and Tiger Mystery games have been installed on PeakSlant49 machines in the park.
At the end of the 2023-2024 financial year, the Saint-Gervais-les-Bains casino generated gross gaming revenue of €5.08m, putting it in 139th place in the French rankings.
